The date for the official Christmas Jumper Day 2022 has been announced, it’s Thursday 8th December.

As always, we will be raising money for the amazing Save the Children charity. This year will be twice as good, the UK Government will match every £2 donated so we can expect a very high total raised.

The date for this fun day seems to be getting earlier every year, this is great news for all of us who love to get in the Christmas spirit nice and early. This does mean however you will have to be organised with getting your Christmas jumper. Of course, you don’t have to buy a new one, you could wear one from a previous year. Alternatively, you can make your own, the Save The Children website gives you some tips on how to create something “wolly wonderful”.

It’s really simple to get involved, go to the Save The Children website and Sign Up, claim your JustGiving page, get your fundraising resources, wear your jumpers on Thursday 8th December and then pay in all the money you’ve raise. Don’t forget to share some pictures so we can see how much fun you had raising money for a great charity.

All the money raised on Christmas Jumper Day goes towards Save the Children’s vital work in the UK and around the world. With all the extra cash raised this year they will work on a project in Kenya, where sadly 74,000 children die before reaching the age of 5.

The Save The Children charity has raised an incredible 27 million (more now) from Christmas Jumper days since it started in 2012, let’s hope we can keep raising money for many years to come.
